Day 1- 09/03/2016
Today we began planning and constructing the needs to make our film successful. We took note of things that we had to take into account such as, the location of Jason's room, what bus we were taking to our main destination: Hackney Marshes (Buses 55 or 236). At this point we still haven't found a role for Bryson, but we wanted to start filming as soon as possible. So, to resolve our problem, we've decided to film shots that only consist of Annabel, Christina and Jason. Today we're going to film a draft of Scene One, just to work around how we're going to do things. On 10/03/2016, we're going to film Shots 1, 2, 4, 5 and 7.
With the backing track, we've found 2 compositions created by Peder B. Helland on YouTube. From the descriptions on both videos, we've been given access for free to use either compositions in our project, as long as he's credited in our film. We've decided to use the Scary Creepy Piano Instrumental in the beginning of our film for Bryson and for the scenes in the Forest.

Day 2- 10/03/2016
Things didn't go to plan on 09/03/2016, we didn't film anything due to the fact that we were unprepared. However, today, we've written up a filming schedule and drawn a story board of specific scenes to avoid confusion and restrictions of when we're actually going to film the real thing. We'll begin filming are actual film tomorrow ( 11/03/2016 ) as we've finally found a role for Byrson Harris. Tomorrow we'll be filming the flash back of Jason Máson, we've booked a camera and picked the location of an estate building, we'll be editing on the same day.
Today we sat down and disscused if everything is in check such as, the journey to our location in the forest, costumes and camera booking. We also took several pictures for the collage of Annabel that will be upon Jason Másons wall in scene 1.

Day 3- 11/03/2016
Today, all cameras are fully booked but, we're still going to try and work our way around other people's schedules when they are not in use.
Overall, today has been successful. We filmed and edited our draft of the flashback scene in our film. Starting of was a challenge because we didn't have roles for the body guards and the father, also for the social worker that takes the child away. However, we successfully found people to play characters of people that were sick and not in school or characters that just didn't have a person to play.
We tried to vary our shots and also added some realism from the shaking off the camera. Editing also helped massively as we made the flashback more dream-like, with the background music.
Next week, we plan to have everything sorted and out of the way; ready to film the real thing and have it all edited by the end of the week (or the next). Our backing track of our movie has been covered , which will be played by Josiah on the piano and the use of garage band as, the backing track we initially planned for had purchasing involved, so we won't be using that.

Day 4- 14/03/2016
Today was an inset day. However, fatou seeked out to go and buy a few extra things for props. We've also created a media cast group chat so we can keep up to date, without and confusion and inquires can be asked.
Day 5- 15/03/2016
Today was GREAT!!!! We've finally begun filming the real thing. We filmed the flash back of when Jason's daughter gets takes away from him and he fights for her back. This scene takes place just after Jason gets knocked out by Christina. Although we filmed the whole flashback, it wasn't easy. There was problems such as cast members being unprepared or just simply not following instructions and misbehaving! Jason did get hurt, not severely, but at the end of the day we got the job done. We varied our shots and used different angles which emphasised the plot of the flashback.
After filming, we came to realisation that we had to find Bryson as our current Bryson dropped out all of a sudden, which really didn't help because, we had something to stress about. Thankfully, we found someone to take up the role of Bryson so, we had less things to stress about. Going home, we made a fresh group chat with our cast, props, musician etc just to refresh our memories.
We discussed our motive of filming the first couples scenes on 17/03/2016 and props and costumes that we needed, that was a success.
My aim for tomorrow is to have the flashback edited so we can film the rest of what's left. Overall, me and fatou are pleased with the progress we've made so far.

Day 6- 16/03/2016
In the morning, we had media first lesson and I can say we successfully edited our footage. However, there were some faults in the footage such as laughing or the footage just not following our intentions of how we wanted it to look. We've decided to re-film the ending of the flashback, along with the intended scenes that we're filming today.
We also filmed the bus stop scene which i could admit was the biggest challange we've taken up. We had to take so many things into consideration. At first we noticed that working with one camera made filming difficult. We had to jump on and off busses several times just to recieve our varied shots. Which was a problem in our prelim. Also, we cannot predict whether the bus would be empty or not, so it made it difficult for actors to conform to their role effectively. Also, as we took several shots of one part, changing buses didnt apply to our footage as buses changed and it didn't make sense. After days of diliberation, we decided to remove the 'Bus Stop Scene' from our 2min opening.
Day 7- 17/03/2016
Today we filmed the forest scene which carried out very well than expected. The mise-en-scene which was Jason's make-up constructed by me and my partner, gave us ambition to stay determined and capture good shots and footage. However, not eveything went to plan. Actors were confused with their roles, to shy to act or just simply messing about making excuses. After the day ended, me and my partner reflected on our cast and took into consideration that we have to be sure of the cast we choose. Although, there was messing around, at the end of the day, actors conformed totheir roles effevtively and helped us produce excellent footage.
Day 8- 18/03/2016-19/03/2016
Editing took a course of 2 days. I found editing very easy as I was comfortable and not a stranger to the software. Editing was straight forward until we noticed that we did not have enough footage to actually fit the beginning of our film. This caused us to book another day of filming. However, everything came together. We had marvellous comments of the beginning scene of Jason.
Day 9- 20/03/2016-22/03/2016
Filming & Editing took a course of 3 days. From the 20th-22nd things began to get very diffuclt as people had homework, detentions or other subjects to fous on. This held us back so some days we did filming and some we did editing. The real problem was when it was filming time, we produced good footage, however it could of been better. This was because of, actors misbehaving and not conforming to their roles yet again. But, they performed effectively at the end of the day.
Day 10-23/03/2016
More editing.
However, this was the day which could of doomed our whole opening sequence. There was an argument and disagreements between the boys which led us to split for several hours, bare in mind it's winter, it's 6pm and it is getting dark very quickly, this impacted our opening massively. It almost came to a desicion of giving up and putting all our work in the bin as this was the last day we would ever film. Today was a difficult day, however things changed. We came ogether again at 7pm, with a half-charged camera, and filmed the best we could and, we sucessfully carried that out.
It could of been better.

Day 11- 24/03/2016
Final Editing took place today. There was sweat, no blood and some tears put into all the final details. We were the last group in the room, at 4:30...30mins away from the due time, rushing to complete our rough cut. This effected our film badly as we were forced to randomly place credits in random places and chose the worst production opening for our film which was Marvel.
It's been a stressful journey but, we got the job done and we didn;t give up. However, we were positive that improvemnts had to be made.
